Q: How big is my oil tank?
A: Most residential oil tanks are 275 gallons. The dimensions of a conventional 275 gallon tank are 26’W X 44’H X 60’L. Other sizes which may be less common are 225, 330, 550 or 1,000 gallons.

Q: Can I pay your delivery driver with a check or cash?
A: We accept cash on delivery. We also accept all major credit cards over the phone – it’s the most convenient way to pay since you don’t need to wait for the oil truck.

Q: I’m thinking of switching to gas. How does heating oil compare to natural gas?
A: Heating oil contains over 135,000 BTU’s per gallon. Natural gas only contains 99,000 BTU’s per gallon. That means you get more heat per gallon from heating oil. In addition, oil prices are low and expected to remain low for quite some time, while natural gas prices are steadily increasing.

Q: How do I place an order?
A: Please call us at (631) 302-7560 and we’ll be happy to set up a delivery for you. We’re open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Q: How far in advance do I need to place my order?
A: You should call 1 day in advance. In some cases we may be able to deliver the same day if you order before 9am. We also provide emergency service of you’re out of oil. Call as soon as possible to get on the schedule for same day.

Q: What if I have to cancel my order?
A: All orders canceled the same day as delivery will be subject to a $75 cancellation fee. Orders cancelled 24 hours before delivery have no cancellation fee.

Q: Can I schedule my delivery for a later date?
Yes, however we cannot guarantee that the price will be the same for future delivery dates.

Q: What time will you deliver my oil?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide specific delivery times.  In order to keep our prices affordable, we have to be able to run our delivery routes as efficiently as possible. We can guarantee a delivery day, but not a specific time. For that reason it’s best to pay with a credit card, so you don’t need to wait home.

Q: Is oil heat safe?
A: Oil heat is not flammable – if a person dropped a lit match into a tank of heating oil, it would go out as if it were dropped in water. Homeowners who use oil heat can rest assured that their family and property are safe.

Q: Is oil heat clean?
Today’s oil heat burns 95% cleaner than it did in 1970. When properly adjusted and maintained, new oil heat systems do not create dirt, soot, or odors in the home. Regulations requiring the reduction in sulfur content of heating oil are right around the corner. When blended with bio fuels, the new heating oil will be one of the cleanest burning fuels available.
